The debut release from newcomers Thick Sounds is a 1.2GB library of 'big room' DnB loops and shots by producer Salaryman. 28 high-impact drum loops get things off to a solid start, and are ably partnered by 35 tearing basslines, complete with MIDI files (always a plus). This is DnB of the overtly synthetic kind, so it's no surprise that the synth loops are great, as are the handful of Massive and Serum patches. Whether DDAB is just perfectly adherent to genre tropes or a little lacking in imagination is up for debate, but the producion and authenticity are unarguably spot on.
