This is my first time reviewing a sample pack by Leitmotif label. Devotion: Cinematic Orchestra is their first production release, and falls into the categories of film score, cinematic orchestra and trailer music. A library like this is nothing new. In fact, the market is flooded with cinematic libraries, but there is something special about this one. The variety of sounds is staggering. You’ll find suspenseful ambiences, powerful ostinatos, deep melancholic atmospheres, impressive brass, bouncy strings, huge cinematic drums, syncopated bed, mysterious pianos, hypnotic booms, heavy hits, whooshes and epic orchestral phrases. All in all, you’ll find 443 ready-to-use cinematic elements that are geared for the production of soundtrack, media background, thriller, and game music. Devotion also works well for electronic music such as electronica, chillout, experimental and dark ambient. For cold, shimmering sounds I like the 32 samples in Atmospheres folder. There are some really good otherworldly sounds for use in suspense and thriller films. Overall, this is a surprisingly good, 1.39 GB cinematic library that would appeal to many.
