Cura is one of the nomad folk instruments. This instrument, which is widely used by Mediterranean poets, is the smallest instrument in the baglama family. It is also used commonly in modern Greek music, as well as in performance of the traditional repertoires of the rebetiko folk tradition. It was a favourite instrument of the rebetes in rebetiko music, a style of music featuring urban popular songs. For several years it was not as popular, but it has had a renaissance in the past few years and it is a popular instrument again today. So, are you ready to dive into the world of magnificent cura melodies with Greek style?

In detail expect to find 602MB of raw content featuring 97 beautifully played “Cura” loops at 90/110/130bpm and includes a dry version (w/o any additional e.q, compressor or reverb effects) and wet version of each, giving a total of 195 files. All loops are Key and tempo labelled for ease of use. All sounds are ready to fit straight in your tracks.

This instrument can be used accompanying other instruments and is perfectly usable in a variety of musical genres whether you’re producing organic folk music, experimental, cinematic, ambient, meditation, live lounge, electronica or even hip hop also suitable for film score, documentaries and media compositions as well - the only limit is your imagination!
