Earth Songs is a fresh collection from Organic Loops, created by Storme Watson and Patrick Carpenter. This diverse sample library lets you add a global touch to your music, with sounds inspired by Africa, Asia, India, and the Middle East. With loops at tempos between 81 to 167 BPM, Earth Songs offers an endless variety of musical styles.

Storme Watson is a multi-instrumentalist and founder of Earthsong Music, a company that has been providing multicultural music workshops to schools and the wider community for the past 30 years. Storme has a fascination for sound and the subtle power of music.

Patrick Carpenter - PC, the Original Ninja, cut his teeth as a pivotal member of Ninja Tune Records, defining a huge era in 90’s music with his unique techniques in production and club DJing. As part of the DJ Food project, his output included 5 albums, 7 singles, and 12 artist remixes including work for David Byrne, and Elvis Costello. Patrick was also an original member of The Cinematic Orchestra, bringing the sound of his studio to the live stage via turntables and electronics. Today, drawing on his 30 years as a musician, Patrick plays saxophone, flute, and percussion for improvised dance classes and continues to produce electronic music. Earth Songs features a wide array of instruments, including:

• Djembe – a goatskin skin and wood drum of the Mande people of West Africa.
• Bougarabou – a cowhide and wood drum from the Jola people of West Africa, often played in sets.
• Frame Drum – an ancient, shallow drum found in cultures worldwide.
• Kora – a 21-stringed calabash and wood harp from the Mande people in West Africa.
• Guzheng – a 2,500-year-old zither/harp from China, crafted with a hollow wood body and metal strings, held and fine-tuned with wooden bridges.
• Bansuri – a bamboo flute from Northern India.
• Tarine – a modern frame drum, blending the North African Tar and Tambourine.
• Tubano – a modern drum made by Remo.
