20 years on since Dub Pistols started up they prove again with this pack why quality sounds are timeless!
As a personal fan of the outfit I grew up listening to their albums and took inspiration for my own music.
If you like warm horns, textured drums and clean Sub Bass then this will be a ''go to'' pack for some time to come. There are elements of ''live feel'' drums and atmospheres as well as a more digital modern DNB like sounding elements in this pack. The Kicks and Snares would sit well in any Dub, Dub techno, Big Beat, Electronica or Hip Hop track.
There is a real sense of a Analog organic alive feel with this pack.
It's a real A-Z of what Dub Pistols are capable of in the studio and live.
Another nice collection of random Ska fulled dub breaks loops and samples from the Dub Pistols camp perfect for you junglists and Dubheads! The Basses and nice and the keyboard/Synths are a delight!
There's a really cool variation of sounds in this pack, a good bit of everything dubby, from horns to vocals and drum hits. A bit of a random layout but the files are well labelled, some nice surprises when flicking through. A few of the piano's and basses let it down for me, but maybe sound better in a song than on solo. A lot of the music loops seem really useable.
Amazing sample pack, used tons of times over the last year or so. Pretty much my go to library when creating the dubbier end of things. Love the ambient / drone type pads . There are tons of great loops too, mostly in the dubby vibe as is expected. Some pretty crunchy breaks too. Love the spring reverb stuff! Overall, an amazing sample pack so well done guys :)
Loads of little nuggets to found in this pack and I can definitely see myself coming back to it again & again to have a browse through for them for a long time to come!
I really liked the drum hits, fx and some of the musical elements and find it really usable. Although hard to navigate at points, it kind of strangely adds to the fun, sometimes coming across sounds you didn't quite expect!
